Pioneers Get Clutch Win Versus Houston
St. Louis Pioneers starter Frank Davis pitched his team past the Houston Comets, 3-2, in 10 innings. The loss makes Houston 42-38.

St. Louis got a knockout punch from Del Jacobs. The third baseman hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"This place was jumping at the end," Davis said.
