Slumping Millers Lose Again
The Boston Minutemen withstood an impressive performance by Minneapolis center fielder John Edwards to defeat the Millers, 5-4, at Hennepin County Stadium. Edwards went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2. The current losing streak for Minneapolis has reached 9 games.

Boston used a clutch at-bat from Jack Denis to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Minutemen ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We ground out the win," said Denis. "That's all that matters."
