Cannons Stick Wolves with 3-1 Loss
In a tight game between the Cincinnati Cannons and the Toronto Wolves, pitcher Red Cunningham was terrific on the mound. The Cincinnati right-hander helped his team to the 3-1 win. The winning pitcher was Cunningham, now 8-6. He tossed 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 7. Paul Williams notched his 6th save of the season.

It could have been a different outcome for Cincinnati, had it not been for Babe Booth, the 25-year old shortstop . Booth contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put Cincinnati up, 2-0.

"We'll put this win in the can," said Booth, "and go after the next one."

With this game in the books, Cincinnati is 57-54, Toronto 44-70.
