Erickson Slugs Miners to 7-3 Win
The Pittsburgh Miners topped the Boston Minutemen by the score of 7-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to left fielder Jeep Erickson. Erickson slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Miners on the day. Pittsburgh now sits at 50-64, while Boston falls to 54-59.

Erickson had a timely hit for Pittsburgh in the top of the seventh. With Boston trailing 2-0, he turned a 1-1 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 11th home run of the season, making it 3-2, Pittsburgh.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Erickson said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
