| Keystones Prevail, 3-1, Over Boston | Philadelphia Keystones starter Doc Carver turned in an exceptional performance against the Boston Minutemen at Liberty Coliseum, resulting in a Philadelphia win, 3-1. Jim Steuber closed the game out for Philadelphia, earning his 11th save. Philadelphia is now 33-38, Boston 22-46.
In the top of the ninth, Charlie Hartsell stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Minutemen were trailing 3-1, but had runners on 2nd and 3rd. That's when Jim Steuber made a terrific pitch and Hartsell struck out. Gone was the dream of a Boston comeback.
