Wolves 6-4 Losers to Imperials
The 6-4 New York win over Toronto was due in large part to Bill Wood. The Imperials pinch hitter went 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. New York pitcher Howie Weston got the win. He's now 7-3. Red Bullock was tagged with the loss. Stan Boone earned save number 2 this season.

New York took a 5-4 lead on Wood's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Red Bullock in the top of the sixth, propelled New York to the win.

New York manager Jim Abernathy was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.

The Imperials now own a record of 38-34.
