Wranglers Slap 8-2 Loss on Imperials | The rain came, as predicted, but the Dallas Wranglers and New York Imperials were able to complete their ballgame.
Dallas Wranglers starter Sid Moulton had all his pitches working at Dyckman Stadium. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-2 Dallas win over the New York Imperials. Moulton yielded 2 runs over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 10 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 3-2.
Ed Thompson, who is tied for 9th in the CA in RBI with 16, aided the Dallas cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the third. For the game, the center fielder went 1-3 with 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Moulton.
The overall performance of the 1962 Imperials has been rotten so far. | |
