Sailors Deal Foresters 5-2 Loss | The San Francisco Sailors beat the Cleveland Foresters, 5-2. San Francisco pitcher and Palestine, Texas, native Oscar Edwards led the way. The save went to Augie Hayes Jr., number 1 for him. The Sailors have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 6th win in 18 games.
It could have been a different outcome for San Francisco, had it not been for Carlos Jaramillo, the two-time Diamond Defense Award winner . Jaramillo contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put San Francisco up, 3-0.
"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Edwards. | |
