| Walk-Off Win Makes San Francisco 37-35 | The San Francisco Sailors picked up a win at Golden Gate Stadium, knocking off the Seattle Kings, 4-2. Starting pitcher Elmer Peters was a big reason why. The win gives San Francisco a season record of 37-35.
The decisive blow was delivered by John Kingsbury in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run home run off 27-year old right-handed pitcher Bill Harris to win the game for San Francisco. The home crowd went nuts.
"The crowd was boisterous tonight," said Kingsbury. | |
