| Millers Suffer 8-2 Loss to Comets | Houston turned a good effort from starter Johnny Blackburn into a win over the Minneapolis Millers at Hennepin County Stadium. The Comets won the game, 8-2. The Comets move to 37-33 with the win, while the Millers drop to 32-37.
Frank Bailey helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he hit a 1-0 splitter from Van Taylor for a 2-run triple, to give Houston a 2-0 lead.
"I was talking to myself on the mound, saying 'attack, attack, attack, stay convicted, no matter what,'" said Blackburn.
