| Copperheads Dealt 5-2 Loss | The Los Angeles Suns locked up a win at Peachtree Stadium, knocking off the Atlanta Copperheads, 5-2. On the mound for Los Angeles was right-hander Heinie Schmidt. He played a major role in the triumph. Schmidt picked up the win for Los Angeles, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 8-3. The first-place Suns improved to 41-24.
