Starting pitcher Hub Huffman pitched well enough to help the Minneapolis Millers beat the Washington Eagles, 10-4. By defeating Washington, the 4th-place Millers improved to 29-32.

Minneapolis starter Hub Huffman was dynamite. The 6-foot-0 right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits over 8.1 innings.

"Hub was pumping the zone," said Minneapolis manager Harry Hammond.
