Kirouac, Minutemen Too Much for Keystones
The Boston Minutemen defeated the Philadelphia Keystones, 19-9, at Minuteman Stadium. Frank Kirouac produced 3 singles and 1 double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Reliever Steve Talley picked up the win. His record improves to 2-4. Don McKeown, who led the FA in saves with 26 last year, took the loss. Boston now sports a record of 67-78.

Sam Walker went 2 for 4 with 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for Boston. The 11-year veteran had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring walk off Don McKeown. It was his 57th walk of the season.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Walker said after the game.
