Baltimore Clippers pitcher Bob McKinney was in fine form, leading his team past the Houston Comets, 3-0. The loss makes Houston 35-28.

McKinney, a native of Portland, Maine, was dealing all game. He kept Houston hitters off-balance, while giving the Clippers 8 quality innings. McKinney threw 117 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 5.

"That was a really good outing by Bob," said Baltimore manager Hank Luckenbaugh.
