| Arrows Get Past Chicago for 3-2 Win | Milwaukee second baseman Rich Moyer made his presence felt in the 3-2 Arrows triumph over the Chicago Cougars. Moyer was 2-2 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Milwaukee reliever Johnny Britton was the winner. His record is now 2-1. The losing pitcher was Bill Scott. Milwaukee leads the Continental Association East by 4 games.
Moyer had a timely hit for Milwaukee in the top of the ninth. With Milwaukee trailing 2-1, he turned a 0-1 curveball into a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season, making it 3-2, Milwaukee.
Arrows manager Randy Hendrix praised Moyer after the game. "I keep telling everyone," he said, "'Don't go to sleep on this kid.'"
