In Extras, Foresters Beat Cannons, 6-5 | The Cleveland Foresters defeated the Cincinnati Cannons, 6-5, in 11 innings. Sherry Doyal led the way, going 4-for-6 for Cleveland. Harry Tracy earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. His record is now 1-1. With the win, the Foresters have a record of 38-35.
Cleveland used the timely hitting of Earl Howe to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Foresters on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
