| Mavericks Stick Saints with 5-4 Loss | The Kansas City Mavericks weathered a fine game by Montreal left fielder Bill Rawdon to upend the Saints, 5-4, at Prairie Park. Rawdon went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. Picking up his 1st save was 33-year old right-handed pitcher Harry Stout. The 'W' lifts Kansas City's record to 23-38.
Bobby Frost, who is tied for 6th in the CA in home runs with 9, helped out the Kansas City cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a bases-clearing double. For the game, the catcher went 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
In postgame comments to the Kansas City Observer, Frost said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
