| Arrows Deal Stars 6-3 Loss | The Milwaukee Arrows locked up a win at Bigsby Stadium, knocking off the Los Angeles Stars, 6-3. On the mound for Milwaukee was right-hander Johnny Hoskinson. He played a major role in the triumph. Hoskinson, now 6-4, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 1, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs. The Arrows bumped their record to 33-22 with this latest triumph.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Rich Moyer? The Milwaukee first baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Arrows on top, 6-3. For the game, Moyer had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Johnny had himself a pretty good evening," said Milwaukee manager Randy Hendrix. | |
