| Copperheads Make It 8 Straight with 4-1 Win | The Atlanta Copperheads knocked off the St. Louis Pioneers, 4-1, in Federal Association action at Peachtree Stadium. Atlanta pitcher and Dayton, Ohio, native Harry Inge had an outstanding performance. Buddy Thomas locked down his 8th save. The Copperheads have now won 8 straight.
In the bottom of the 5th, Atlanta took the lead on a 2-run single by Al Hubbard. At the time, the Copperheads were trailing 1-0, but Hubbard's hit with two outs against St. Louis pitcher John Green put them in front, 2-1.
