The Cincinnati Cannons downed the Los Angeles Stars, 10-7. The hitting star was shortstop Bill Brown. Brown was 4 for 6 with 4 singles. He scored 3 runs for the Cannons. Cincinnati used a well-timed hit by Pete Bruce to capture the win. The catcher socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Cannons ahead, 10-6. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Bruce.
