| Foresters Spill Stars, 4-3 | Starting pitcher Juan Solorzano pitched well enough to help the Cleveland Foresters beat the Los Angeles Stars, 4-3. The Foresters now have a record of 24-28 with the win over Los Angeles.
Cleveland used the hitting of Vern Schneider to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Foresters on top, 3-0. For the game, Schneider had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Juan giving us the start that he did was huge," said Cleveland manager Ray Parsons.
