| Wolves Drop Mavericks, 3-2 | The Toronto Wolves had to overcome a good performance from Kansas City pitcher Harry Kluth to claim a 3-2 win at Mavericks Stadium. Kluth went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. Red Bullock got the win, improving to 6-3. He worked 7.1 innings, giving up 2 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 4. The save was credited to Dick Miller, his 5th.
Jess McPherson helped out the Toronto cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the catcher went 1 for 4.
McPherson called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
The last-place Wolves now have a record of 22-31.
