| St. Louis Beats Boston, 6-3 | The St. Louis Pioneers defeated the Boston Minutemen, 6-3, at Minuteman Stadium. St. Louis left fielder Al Pratt had a superb performance. He was 2 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. The winning pitcher was 28-year old right-handed pitcher Tige Bowe. He tossed 96 pitches over 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits. The last-place Pioneers now have a record of 26-32.
Pratt had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 3-1 slider from Les Snyder, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Pioneers a 6-3 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Pratt.
