| Minutemen Cut Down Pioneers, 5-0 | Boston pitcher Johnny Baylor had a large part in his team beating the St. Louis Pioneers, 5-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Baylor yielded no runs over 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered no hits, walked 6, and struck out 3. His record improves to 4-2. Boston has run its win streak to 4 consecutive.
Jim Wise helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Minutemen.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Wise told the Boston Today.
