The Hosho Reliables got 2 home runs from second baseman Rkuemon Endo but failed to take Game 2 of the BAN Championship Series from the Kobe Bulls. In a nice performance, Endo belted 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice but Kobe took the game by a score of 7-6 and now lead the best-of-7 series, 2-0.

The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter Tadahisa Ryu came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Hosho pitcher Motomu Taira, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Kobe on top, 7-6.

Reliables manager Shun Kawamura did not take questions after the game, telling assembled reporters that he would hold a press conference "if and when we win the BAN Championship Series."

The next game is set to be played for Monday, October 7th , 1974 at Nagoya Minami Stadium in Nagoya.
