Road Win Lifts Kobe to 1-0 Lead in NCS
The Kobe Bulls started the BAN Championship Series in style, winning on the road against the Hosho Reliables at Nagoya Minami Stadium by a score of 7-6 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Bulls center fielder Jouta Hayashida excelled. He went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.

In the top of the fifth, Kobe third baseman Matabei Harada had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Harada stroked a 2-run single to right. It made the score 6-4, Kobe. For the game, he went 2-3 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Hayashida, "one at-bat at a time."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Nagoya Minami Stadium in Nagoya.
