Road Win Lifts Rakisuta to 1-0 Lead in NCS
The Rakisuta Rams powered past the hometown Kobe Bulls, 3-2, in the opener of the BAN Championship Series at Matsunoki Stadium. Rakisuta starting pitcher Yoshimatsu Yamamura threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball, to lead the charge. The Rams now lead the series 1-0.

Rakisuta used a timely hit from Takanori Matsui to get the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rams ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Rakisuta manager Akahito Takizawa said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Matsunoki Stadium in Kobe.
