Chiefs Lose, 2-1, as Comets Rally
The Comets faced a stiff challenge from Chicago pitcher Larry Barker, but persevered to claim a win at Dalton Domed Stadium. The final score was 2-1. Barker went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Houston has an impressive 27-13 record.

Maury Moore drove in one run for Houston. The 28-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Ed Rowley. It was his 15th RBI of the season.

Moore said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
