Copperheads Come Up Short at Houston, 3-2
Houston parlayed a decent outing from starter Johnny Blackburn into a solid win over the Atlanta Copperheads. The final score was 3-2. Bob Young earned the save, his 9th, for the Comets. With the win, Houston raised its record to 24-19.

Jerry Robinson drove in one run for Houston. The 29-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Marco Middleton. It was his 18th RBI of the season.

"I was able to change speeds effectively tonight," said Blackburn.
