| Clippers Eke Out 5-4 Win Versus Minneapolis | The Baltimore Clippers defeated the Minneapolis Millers, 5-4, in Federal Association action at Patapsco Field. Baltimore pitcher Jose Martinez had a standout performance. Bobby Carr earned the save, his 1st, for the Clippers. The win gives Baltimore a season record of 21-14.
Baltimore catcher Hank Wallace contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 36th hit of the season and put the Clippers ahead, 2-0.
