 | Lewis Goes on Rampage Against Salt Barons Sunday, September 3rd , 1916 Thanks to Leo Lewis and his big bat, the Clippers derailed the Syracuse Salt Barons, 5-4, at Salt Springs Grounds. The Providence first baseman had a standout game with 5 hits in 6 at-bats. Leo Lewis grounded out in the 1st, hit a sac fly in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, struck out in the 12th, doubled in the 14th and singled in the 16th.
