Wilson Fires 1-0 Shutout in Salt Barons Win
Thursday, September 14th , 1893
William Wilson was impressive at Salt Springs Grounds in the 1-0 Syracuse Salt Barons victory over the Rochester Millers. The Syracuse pitcher mystified the Millers in a strong performance, giving up 6 hits and totaling 2 walks and no strikeouts.

"William had them chasing a lot of pitches and talking to themselves," Syracuse manager Lee Reed. "It was something special to watch."

Thus far this season, Wilson has worked 364 innings with 84 strikeouts en route to a 25-17 record and a 3.36 ERA.
