 | Player of the Week: Des Moines's Olson Monday, August 21st , 1916 Dave Olson of the Des Moines Browns was locked in all week as he bullied the pitchers he faced. Olson put up some great numbers and hauled in the Western Federation Player of the Week trophy. He hit .500 with 1 home run and 5 RBIs. The 30-year-old right fielder also scored 3 runs and for the week went 9-for-18. So far this year, Olson is batting .268 with 5 home runs and 46 RBIs. |   |
