| Kansas City Blanks St. Paul, 6-0 Wednesday, September 13th , 1893 In an outstanding outing, Kansas City Stars starter Mike Flynn tamed the St. Paul Crusaders with a 5-hit shutout at Union Grounds. The Kansas City hurler went the distance, finishing with 2 strikeouts and 2 walks in the 6-0 win.
"He had a lot of first-pitch strikes and kept us off balance with a lot of off-speed stuff," according to St. Paul manager Jim Cannon. "We just didn't get too many balls squared up today."
