 | Kansas City Blanks St. Paul, 6-0 Wednesday, September 13th , 1893 In an outstanding outing, Kansas City Stars starter Mike Flynn tamed the St. Paul Crusaders with a 5-hit shutout at Union Grounds. The Kansas City hurler went the distance, finishing with 2 strikeouts and 2 walks in the 6-0 win. "He had a lot of first-pitch strikes and kept us off balance with a lot of off-speed stuff," according to St. Paul manager Jim Cannon. "We just didn't get too many balls squared up today." In the 1893 season Flynn is hitting .302 with no home runs. |   |
