 | Moe Noonan Whips Red Caps for #100 Wednesday, May 9th , 1917 Moe Noonan of the Denver Millionaires will go down as one of the league's legendary pitchers after his 4-0 win today against the Indianapolis Red Caps. "It felt like it was a postseason game, one out at a time," said his manager. "It was something special to see." The 26-year-old Noonan picked up his 100th career victory at Indianapolis Base Ball Park. He hurled 7.2 innings, gave up 6 hits and registered 2 strikeouts along with 3 walks. "I've worked a long time for this," Noonan said. "I can't believe it's really here. It feels great!" His career totals show Noonan has 100 victories and 86 defeats with a 3.28 ERA. |   |
