Howard Homers 3 Times Against Chicago
Tuesday, April 15th , 1975
Bob Howard was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 14-1 Kansas City Mavericks triumph at Cougars Park.

The 25-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Mavericks past the Chicago Cougars.

"One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Howard told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate."

The third baseman went 4-for-5, rung up 8 RBIs and scored 4 runs on his record-setting day.

Bob Howard flied out in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Pug White in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Harl Thompson in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Harl Thompson in the 8th.

Thus far in 1975, Howard is hitting .280 with 3 home runs, 10 RBIs, 5 runs scored and has compiled a .333 OBP.
