 | Clippers, Comets Confirm Deal Friday, November 1st , 1974 BNN has learned the Baltimore Clippers have reportedly worked out a deal with the Houston Comets. Sources close to the Clippers indicated that a trade has been reached in principle where 30-year old LHP Joe King will be swapped to Baltimore with 19-year old minor league RHP Sal Buono and 20-year old minor league 2B Chuck Wright heading to Houston. Neither organization would comment on the report, saying it was club policy not to speak about a trade until it was finalized. During his career, King has no saves with a 16-18 record and a 3.38 ERA. |   |
