Harry Edwards took Federally Aligned Baseball Leagues by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 25.

For his spectacular campaign, the Milwaukee Arrows star has been named the 1974 Continental Association Whitney Award recipient.

"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the left fielder.

On the season he compiled a .306 batting average to go with a .408 on-base percentage. The native of Houston, Texas also added 34 doubles, 7 triples, 22 home runs, 85 RBIs and 99 runs scored.

He received 20 first place votes out of a possible 24. Buck Stout of the Dallas Wranglers finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Bob Glowacki of the Seattle Kings finished third.
