| Atlanta, St. Louis Close Deal Thursday, October 31st , 1974 The Atlanta Copperheads and St. Louis Pioneers have put the finishing touches on a deal that was weeks in the making. Atlanta will part with 19-year old minor league RHP Doc Hudson and 21-year old minor league CF Jim Wilson, while the Pioneers have dealt 35-year old LHP Curly Anderson.
"This one took a while to figure out," said Atlanta general manager Johnny Shaw. "We must have gone back to the drawing board five or six times over the past few weeks. I'm glad we finally got the deal done. I think it is a good one for both clubs."
In his career, Anderson has registered 34 wins and 48 losses with 33 saves. His lifetime ERA stands at 4.58 with 403 strikeouts and 305 walks in 647 innings. | | |
