| Harris and Proper Dealt Tuesday, October 29th , 1974 It likely won't turn either team into an instant contender or provide a huge franchise shakeup, but the Cleveland Foresters and Seattle Kings finalized a trade today. Cleveland will send 26-year old RHP Bill Harris to the Kings, while the Foresters will receive 18-year old minor league C Jack Crouse, 19-year old minor league LF Henry Proper, 21-year old minor league RF Art Higgins, and 21-year old minor league RHP Harry Schwartz.
"We think this is a deal that will help out both teams and we're glad to get it done," Foresters general manager Dave McWilliams said.
The trade is expected to be officially completed later today with the players joining their new ballclubs by the end of the day.
Thus far in his career, Harris has put up a won-loss record of 20-19. Lifetime he has an ERA of 3.23, struck out 200 batters and held opposing teams to a .242 batting average. | | |
