| Philadelphia, Boston Agree to Trade Monday, October 21st , 1974 The Philadelphia Keystones announced a deal with the Minutemen today, sending 32-year old RF Bobby Phelps to Boston for 23-year old minor league LF Ossie Fuller and 22-year old minor league LHP Les Humbarger. It had been talked about for the past few weeks and everything came together late last night. All players are expected to be joining their respective clubs shortly.
Phelps has played in 1612 games and posted a lifetime .249 average. He has 1378 hits, 176 doubles, 35 triples and 271 homers. In addition he has driven in 861 runs and scored 760 times. | | |
