 | Stars-Clippers Swap: Parkhurst for Bennett Sunday, October 20th , 1974 Acknowledging that it may not be the biggest splash, the Stars announced today that they have acquired 29-year old minor league RHP John Bennett from the Baltimore Clippers in exchange for 23-year old minor league C Kent Parkhurst. "Every little bit helps," announced the Stars, "this deal should improve both squads." Bennett has made 409 appearances in his career, putting up a 39-38 record. He has tossed 583.1 innings and struck out 430. Batters have hit .248 against him, his lifetime ERA stands at 3.72 and he has 74 saves. |   |
