 | Injury Worsens, Return Delayed for Saints Lyon Thursday, September 12th , 1974 Johnny Lyon's return to the Montreal Saints has been delayed. The 26-year-old closer has been in treatment for bone chips in his elbow and was responding well until he suffered sharp pains during a light workout. Upon examination by team doctors they reported that there had been further damage and Lyon will not be back as originally diagnosed. He will now be out at least 5 months. |   |
