Chicago's Barker Out 13 Months Wednesday, August 28th , 1974 Larry Barker will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Chicago starting pitcher could miss the remainder of the year. Barker was injured while throwing a pitch in the Chiefs-Gothams clash at Gotham Stadium recently. Doctors said he has a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament and would be out a minimum of 13 months.
For the year, Barker has compiled a 5-10 record with a 4.03 ERA.
