Powell Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games
Monday, August 26th , 1974
Chalk up another one for Minneapolis Millers center fielder Bill Powell. He now has hit in 20 straight games. Powell went 2-for-5 in today's game at Broad Street Park II but saw his club defeated, 11-5, by the host Philadelphia Keystones.

"Playing on the road always makes it harder to get hits and to get wins," Millers manager Harry Hammond said after the game. "We got one of the two, but unfortunately it was the wrong one."
Bill Powell flied out in the 1st, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.

This year, Powell is hitting .294 with 12 home runs and 66 RBIs in 128 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .377 with 63 walks and 82 runs scored.
