 | Wilson Crowned Batter of the Month in September Sunday, October 1st , 1916 When Henry Wilson stepped up to the plate in September he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the Federal League Batter of the Month award. The young Brooklyn shortstop posted a .330 batting average with 2 home runs, 14 RBIs and scored 9 runs. Wilson also worked pitchers for 6 walks to post a .362 on-base percentage.
