 | Hubbard Gone for Season in St. Louis Saturday, September 23rd , 1916 Gavvy Hubbard will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the St. Louis right fielder could miss the remainder of the year. Hubbard was injured while running the bases in the Pioneers-Keystones clash at Pioneer Field recently. Doctors said he has a knee sprain and would be out a minimum of 4-5 weeks. So far on the season, Hubbard is hitting .265 with 2 home runs, 36 RBIs and 88 runs scored. He has 138 hits and played in 148 games. |   |
