| Playoffs? No Chance for Cincinnati Tuesday, September 12th , 1916 The Cincinnati Monarchs have a new opponent: mathematics. The Monarchs still have games to play in their disappointing 1916 campaign, but the numbers say they won't mean much -- the Monarchs were today mathematically eliminated from qualifying for the postseason.
In their 25 seasons in Federally Aligned Baseball Leagues, the Monarchs have still yet to qualify for the playoffs. Cincinnati last won the World's Championship Series in 1892. | | |
