 | Chiefs Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Saturday, September 2nd , 1916 Fans of the Chicago Chiefs have long since given up hope of the club making a serious playoff push this season. But now those hopes are officially gone, as the club was mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today. The Chiefs have missed the playoffs 39 times in their 41 years as a Federally Aligned Baseball Leagues franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 7th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1909. In the last 10 seasons, the Chiefs have only made the playoffs once. Chicago last won the World's Championship Series in 1881. |   |
