 | Eagles Come up Short of Playoffs Tuesday, October 1st , 1963 While the Washington Eagles clubhouse is normally a jovial and upbeat place, things were extremely solemn today. That's because the club is now officially eliminated from playoff contention. The Eagles have made the playoffs 8 times in their 84 years as a Federally Aligned Baseball Leagues franchise.
