 | September's Best Newcomer Named by CA Tuesday, October 1st , 1963 Dode Caudill's eyes seem to light up whenever he sees the baseball. The young Chicago left fielder has been hitting everything in sight for the better part of a month. In September he was voted the Rookie of the Month. During the month he hit .382 with 4 doubles, 5 triples and 7 home runs. Caudill also scored 22 times and drove in 18 runs. In 160 games Caudill is hitting .324 this season with 206 hits, 26 home runs, 83 RBIs, 67 walks, .387 OBP and has scored 130 runs. |   |
